Men’s Health Services

Andropause is defined as a gradual drop in testosterone that typically affects men between the ages of 40 and 55. The medical term is "hygonadism."

This decline in male hormones is a natural phenomenon; no man can avoid it. Due to lifestyle factors including high stress, poor nutrition, poor sleep, a lack exercise, prior abuse of drugs including anabolic steroids, more men even younger than 40 are affected by low testosterone levels.

Do you suffer from Low T (Testosterone?)

Have you been feeling more fatigued lately? Have you noticed the days are dragging? You make excuses and tell yourself that traffic, family, or long hours are to blame. Are you putting on a little weight around the middle but just can’t seem to get to the gym? Would you rather watch TV than have sex?

You may have low testosterone. Other signs of low testosterone levels are a loss of bone density, decreased muscle mass, memory loss, and irritability and/or depression.

If you are experiencing these symptoms, primary care Dr. Eugene Raber will help you determine if the symptoms you are experiencing are a result of low testosterone, or if they are a result of some other type of medical condition.

The initial evaluation is quick and you will know the results the very next day!

If you can answer “yes” to any of these statements, you may have low testosterone.

  • I feel fatigued during the day.

  • I am not motivated to exercise, and if I do my recovery time is longer than it used to be.

  • I am losing muscle mass.

  • I've felt a decrease in strength and/or endurance.

  • I've noticed a decrease in a general sense of well-being.

  • I often feel depressed.

  • I have a decreased sex drive.

  • I often fall asleep after dinner

  • My ability to play sports has declined.

  • My erections are less strong than they used to be.

  • I no longer have morning erections.

  • I find it difficult to concentrate and be motivated at work.

How is low testosterone treated?

Dr. Eugene Raber utilizes Testosterone Cypionate injections every 2 weeks to deliver the exact amount your body needs to function at an optimum level. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) means the testosterone being injected has the same chemical structure as the testosterone already in your body, so it will not perceive it as a foreign substance or reject it.

Our holistic approach to care focuses on an integrative care model where each patient is treated as an individual. Every person is different, so our approach to treatment should be, too.

In addition to testosterone injections, other services such as weight loss programs, supplements and vitamin therapy, may help you look and feel your best.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Robert from Hudson, NY

“Dr. Raber will take the time to help you and get to you. He helped diagnose and looked at issues that other physicians simply ignored. My father had a medical issue that not one physician ever diagnosed in the past. My dad got an EKG on the spot and he helped walk me through the reasons why he was on his medications and even took some that had some bad side effects. He cared about his overall quality of life and to me that reflects a good physician and person. The efficiency of diagnosis and delivery of his practice is unparalleled to anything I have seen before.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Mike from Long Island City, NY

“Dr. Raber is by far the most caring internal medicine doctor I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. He takes his time when treating you. Unlike other doctors who make you feel like you are on a conveyor belt and being pushed through an assembly line. I have been seeing him for over year now and you never makes me wait more than a couple minutes in the waiting room.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Linda from Port Jefferson Station, NY

“Dr. Raber was my primary care physician for several years before I moved out of the area. He took the time to listen to me and really assess what was going on, especially when test results changed and didn't fit my pattern. He took the time to care about it, and figure out the reason. He also did not test things that were not necessary just for the money.”
